My friend is looking to get a new dh frame and was wondering if there were any good options for around $1000. He is now riding some Diamond Back freeride frame so almost anything would be an improvement. He dosnt want to buy used. Any suggestions.

I think the Specialized 06 Bighit frames are about $1200. I however don't know where you can find just the frame, but I know you can.

Whats wrong with buying used? wont be anything wrong with a 2005 used frame...

i hate to keep trolling with transition praise. but

Transition Dirtbag = \m/
it's more freeride oriented, but totally DH-able
and you can snag one for under 1G

Thanks again for all the suggestions. He wants the piece of mind you get from buying new and getting a warrantee. Even if it is only for a year or 2. But used isn't out of the question, we were really just trying to see what new options for the price are out there and then decide.
