Any Hacks for Getting my Pike Ultimate Down to 110mm or 100mm?

Best I can tell the shortest travel air shaft RS sells for my Pike Ultimate is 120mm. I'd like to run it on a hardtail with geo set for a 100mm travel fork so I'm wondering if there are any known hacks I could use on the 120mm air shaft to get it there. Thanks.

I would have thought that the stanchions could also bottom out on the lowers.

I don't know. That's kind of why I'm asking. Perhaps the answer is no there isn't a hack because the stanchions will bottom out on the lowers. 🤷‍♂️
Wait a second let me turn my brain back on. Stanchions bottoming out is not going to be a problem, you can already compress it all the way to zero mm at any length you run the shock at. If I was a mad scientist I would cut down a 120mm airspring by 20mm and cut a new thread on the end and reattach the nut.

I did it a long time ago, you need the right size air shaft.

Well if RS offered the right size air shaft I wouldn't be asking about a possible hack for the 120mm.

Look and see if you can get an airspring shaft for a revalation that's 100mm

The hack for the Lyrik is to use a Yari airspring (it goes down to 120mm)

But I don't obviously see that a Revalation goes to 100mm and you are stuck with cut and thread an airshaft.

If your pike is an A1 (pre 2019), the following air shaft might work. 11.4018.026.011. After that the 26" was discontinued and the the same air shaft was used for any given travel regardless of wheel size. Note that for any given air shaft, the 29" has 30mm less travel than the 26" (and 20mm less than the 27.5).

I think you can also shorten the air shafts by cutting/rethreading the bottom or pushing out the roll pin holding the air piston, cutting down, drilling a new hole, and reinstalling air piston & roll pin.

could you not put another topout bumper in to space out the shaft?
Or trade someone for a newer Sid.
I think it was 2019 that they made a 29+ version at 100mm travel.

You could check the 2019 RockShox parts manual for that air shaft.

100mm Pike was used here:

that's the previous gen. pike, you can get 100mm shaft for these
Convert to dual air using my mod from the other thread on here. All the 'excess' travel can then be converted to negative chamber for a double win.

Running wifey's lyrik at 130,much better than stock.
It’s important to clarify here that there are two generations of Pikes. Pre 2019, and 2019-current. Looks like the airshaft p/n listed above works for the Pre-2019, but I think the only solution for the 2019+ Pikes is an airshaft modification.

Edit: Maybe the DJ would work, although by the looks of the lowers, it's based on the earlier Pikes. P/N 11.4018.010.202.

It would be nice if someone would had access to the parts would make a list of all the RockShox air shafts and their measured lengths...
If you can't get the right air-shaft then you could cut and thread the existing to shorten it.

2014-2018 Pike 27" air-shafts match the 2019+ for length and fitment.
