Last winter i was on 27.5x3.0 studded Wrathcild wich i loved.
That bike was sold so in august i bought 2 29x2.8 studded
Terrene cake eaters. They just went on so i cannot yet comment about traction.
I just feel cheated they are 2.6
Should i get some real 2.8(wich ones?)
Should i get some small 3.0(wich ones?)
That bike will do it all, sidewalks, streets, roads, bike paths and yes trails that are
firm enough. With covid many just walk in our trail networks so soft does not last.
Thanks for your input.

The Cake Eaters will stretch with use.

Although, running them on rims that narrow they aren't likely to hit 2.8".

The CEs are great all-around tires.

45N Wrathchilds are available in 29 x 2.6". Also good tires, but smaller than your CEs.

Thanks for sharing. I checked and i have room for 3.0 so if i am not satisfied in a month i will look for other options. Today we had perfect conditions so any decent tire was fine. Cold + sun + snow + singletracks = great xmas gift

Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro 29x2.25. Unreal traction on solid ice and hardpack snow. Follow the directions about breaking them in on pavement. Loud on pavement but they roll fine.
