Any good riding near Santa Monica?

Hey, I am coming to Santa Monica to visit family for two weeks and I am wondering if there is any good riding near Santa Monica, singletrack stuff. I am coming from Anchorage, AK where the riding has been great this year. Thanks for the help. Also if there a decent place to rent quality mountain bikes?
