Drew over at Engine cycles makes them. They look great but I'm guessing are pretty heavy.jager7 said:just like the title says, any one making steel seatposts? for a custom project. Thanks
Actually they are very light....Remember. Steel is density challenged but then again the 953 post Engin uses is about 5 times stronger than Aluminum therefore thinner. A road post is about 230 grms with hardware.marks_bike said:Drew over at Engine cycles makes them. They look great but I'm guessing are pretty heavy.
Brooklyn Machine Works used to have a service where they would weld your seat rails directly to a custom post. Back in the day, on the old website. They'd probably still do.jager7 said:just like the title says, any one making steel seatposts? for a custom project. Thanks
Any reason? I've actually never owned one and tend to stay away because at least once a year I'll catch a guy riding back to his car, with his seat stuffed in his pack cause he broke off his carbon post while riding.pvd said:These days I use carbon posts exclusively.
