I would like to see Lance make a run at this race (if he still does it as rumored):

I live on the peninsula and thought it'd be cool to take my bike up on Caltrain and ride out to a spot on the course. Though it looks like the viewing spots can get crowded. Does anyone know if there are any groups doing bike checks or safe bike parking? I know some of the local bike coalitions do so at various commuter events, just curious.

JRM, Impy and I, along with a bunch of the Trogs just camped out on one of the hills with our bikes and watched the suffer-fest after spending the morning doing an urban assault. That was a total blast. What a great day that was. I rode my bike to BART a few miles from my house and got off at JHP where the faire was.

Wow, what a traffic jam. Best to take BART and ride around the city.
