Decided to be an anti-weight weenie. Not because I don't like light cool things, but because there is some stuff you want because it is cool.

There comes a time when you have to decide, "do I want this part because of the weight or because I just want it?" This thread is to show your cool stuff. I'm killing myself for selling my E13 Supercharger in red just because it weighs 80 Fing grams more than my other one.

One of the reasons I went with a RIP over a Jet is I knew I would want to WW a Jet out. So I'll start, here is my Cool ride, IMO. With non-WW grips, Nevegal front tire and 2 JUMBO Lizard Skins:D

If you're going to start an anti-weight weenie thread, shouldn't you brag about how HEAVY your bike is?

Well? What does is weigh?

Probably just b/c it is facing toward the camera at a different angle than the bike. Love the tire! Weight blows.

Shop said 27, and I saw it hanging on the scale, but that can't be right. I would bet around 30-31 probably. Medium frame.

solid axle hubs, halo freedom disc rims, 29.5" wide dh bars, gravity dropper, atac aliums, stout front, rampage rear, uummmm, i guess that's pretty much half the components on the bike. in a previous, but similar build up of the same frame/fork, it was 27 lbs. the gd and disc wheels added some weight to that. so i would guess about 27.5 or 28... not so light for a rigid ss.

Currently, just a CH under 30 lbs. I have no idea how I hit 30 lbs, but I was hoping to get down to 27 or so. Still rides great. I have no idea where that much weight is hiding.

Weight is overrated. (<-snort!)

Now that my racer geek days are a thing of the past, weight just doesn't factor in. I build each of my bikes with a purpose, and tailor each component to that purpose. After a time, if I haven't found anything that needs changing, *then* I'll weigh the bike to see what it needs to weigh to get the job done.

The latest project is 36 pounds on the nose.

I'm not willing to shed so much as an ounce from that weight if it means compromising the way the total package rides. Weight is but one teeny tiny factor. Nuff said.

I'll play too..

Currently waiting on a new wheelset (Salsa Semi/DT Comp/XT Hubs) to show up for my 08 Xcal so I don't have a weight on it. However I ride mostly for the fun of it, so I'm no weight weenie. Plus I'd rather the stuff last under my 210 geared arse.

My 31lb SS, but with the KH rims & Rampage tires (24psi rear/22psi front with tubes) it rides pretty sweet. I'm now hooked on the ride of wide rims!

Hear, hear! My Kona Hei Hei weighs in at 30.5 lbs and I don't give a damn about trying to make it weigh less. I can beat the bejeezus out of it and it does what I want it to do. Here's a pic of the current Clyde setup.

That said, that Lenz makes me want to order one of my own.

I have WTB DD FR hubs on my dambala, and race face atlas AM cranks. I have no idea how much it weighs though, I feel like a douche thinking about weighing my bikes.
