hi, I own a 2006 anthem but recently has realised that the rear swing arm will bend slightly if i forcefully move the rear wheel side ways, is it a possibility of having metal fatigue there? has anyone experienced this too?

It's more likely that your suspension pivots are moving. How much is it moving and are you sure it's in the frame and not the rear wheel or pivots?
Check everything thtat EGF168 said for sure, however it could well be just your frame flexing a little, this is entirely normal on ALL bikes.

I noticed my 07 Anthem doing that same thing you mentioned and it was making aligning the rear caliper very hard. I tightened up the hubs and checked all the pivots and I haven't had a problem since. It does have flex, but it's an XC racer which is to be expected.
