Check it out! Pro ultra phenom, Danielle Musto, has signed on to ride Salsa bikes exclusively in 2010.

Salsa is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring Danielle Musto for the 2010 season. Danielle is a pro mountain biker from Grand Rapids, Michigan who specializes in endurance events.

Danielle will be racing on the Dos Niner and Mamasita this season at events across the country...and possibly around the world.

She'll be sharing some of her stories of training, racing, and just plain ol' living here on the Salsa Amigos blog.
Danielle posts regularly on her blog: Stay tuned!

Yup, that's pretty cool! I think Danielle was on a 29"er before this at one time though, but still, another talented racer aboard a big wheeler is cool to see.

Cool blog. She rides the Rotor crankset and rings as well.
She use to ride for Slingshot and mostly rode a 29er Farmboy I think.

Yes, she did ride for slingshot for several years. She did have a Farmboy 29er but rode it only a few times. Raced it only once (I believe 4 years ago at Iron Cross). All her training and racing while with Slingshot was on several versions of Slingshot's 26er frames and their DDX cross bike.

Today Danielle has a Mamasita and a Dos Niner. But she's been known to ride the frozen roads of Michigan lately on a Surly Karate Monkey.

Danielle is super-cool and I'm happy to see she finally made the switch to the 29er format.
I cant resist this...
I spent Xmas and NYE with an extremely well known Euro XC star. (Multiple World Cup wins). We have a mutual friend. We went riding a few times and chatted about 'stuff'.
He reassured me that has a proto 29er that comes in at 8.5kg's (with gears - 2x10) and is planning to be the first man to podium at a World Cup on one.
Madrid is supposed to be the course of choice for a 29er HT.
