I dropped into Sports Outdoor this morning asking for my fav salesman only to find out that he has severed ties and started his own bike shop. Not sure of the name or the location, but I want to wish Lee good luck in his pursuit. He has always been a pleasure to work with and went completely out of his way to earn repeat business. However, Randy was more than happy to do the warranty for me today:thumbsup:. Lots of good bike shops opening up here in the Burque and that can only mean good things for us. I still have not been over to see Dan and the old FT crew at Bike Worx, anyone else?

Come to think of it these two might be one in the same. Lee may have been fulfilling some obligation to Sports Outdoor before moving to the new store (Bike Worx). I guess it was kind of hush-hush because today was the first I had heard of him leaving.

Went and said hi to Tony last week at Bike Works and they've got some cool stuff. Notable mentions = Crank Brothers Cobalt wheels and a Spot SS with the belt drive.

UPDATE: Saw an old buddy and he informed me that Sports Systems has bought out Sports Outdoors and Mike and Lee will be starting a new bike shop soon. Good luck to those guys. I can't wait:thumbsup:
