Hey Man-

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new frame and I'm pretty sure I'd like to have you guys do the anodizing work.

Question: what is the process that is used on Santa Cruz anodized frames that gives them that "rough" finish that creates the "dull luster" effect? Can you guys do that?

Thanks,

SVS

bead blasting is what creats that effect.

Be very careful who you allow to BB your aluminum frame. I had a jackas use a course rocky media and some of it actually embedded into my frame. what's worse, these little rocks exploded in the heat of the powdercoat oven and made little splatter holes all in the finish.

What you need is a gentle poly media or something equal. And you need someone who has done bead blasting from an artistic stand point because they understand that they are creating a "finish" and not just blasting your frame for it to untimately be covered up my paint or powedercoating.
