Anyone else notice this? Nascar and Indy F1 racing is alot like Mountian biking and Road biking. One side seems more relaxed and the other more uptight and snobby. I'll probally get flamed by some people on this. I'm sitting here waiting till 1 to leave for a group ride on the road  in a few. Watching the preview for some race and I was watching the preview for the Nextel Cup earlier. Just noticed that thought I would share. I'm sure it applies to alot of other things as well.

We as English speaking folk in the U.S. may be overlooking something here. Most of those F1 guys don't have English as their first language, so I don't think you'll see as much interaction between the drivers or constant talking to the press like you do in Nascar. It's kind of hard to detect personalities when so many of them are from so many different countries. I think it's just a different environment.

I used to really like Nascar, but now the cars are basically "cookie cutter" clones. The brand rivalry and technology breakthroughs are all but gone from the scene. Now it's all about the drivers. I liked it when it was an equal split of driver and technology.

Don't you just love stereotypes? Now triathletes, that's a different story...

Since I ride both road and mtb, I wonder if I'm relaxedly snobby or snobbily relaxed?

And they prolly think us mountainbikers are snooty and...just a little bit strange:thumbsup:

I used to really be into auto racing, went the Indy 500 and a couple of Nascar races every year. I got into biking and now I'd rather use my weekends road trips to RIDE destinations:cool: .
