A Whole New Thread on Building Trails

Just thought I'd show what two guys and 1 shovel can accomplish in 20 minutes.

DJBiker, you don't need to get the whole state of Arizona involved if all you want is some stuff to play around on. BullitRdr & I did this today, this afternoon, in honor of your quest to spice up your lacking riding terrain. Where is it? I'm not telling, but let's just say it should be there a while, it "blends in" with the terrain.

Is this the kind of jump you wanted? Cause I can show you how to make one relatively easy, with sticks, rocks & dirt and stuff. It's not hard. And, by the way, you're more than welcome to come hit it up and polish your skills. The Mtn Cycle should fare just fine, the issue is going to be getting you to work up to it. We can build some smaller stuff too if you need it to practice on.

This simply is to show you that sometimes you don't need to spend two days discussing something, the power most times resides in just getting up and going out to do it.

Enjoy.

I live in AZ, I try not to whine too much, can I ride with you guys? You have posted in the "glendale pics" thread, so you know where I live. Do you guys ride urban? If you do we should hit up downtown phoenix when it cools of a bit.

Oh yeah, the jump looks fun, but is the landing to flat.

I'll hit you up to go ridin' when it cools down.

And the picture is deceptive, it actually is a "downslope" that we didn't feel was too flat and would require more digging....it was actually a fun little jump for 20 minutes of work...

Uhh...

There are some explosives available that you could use to expand on your jump building hobby. Or mabey you use some industrial earth moving machines to make yur stuff really big. Perhaps you could get like 20 people out there and really do things right. Just don't think about it - just do it! These things will never get done if all you do is talk about it! I don't know how anything gets done when people just talk about it first.

For more information on that subject in particular, search for anything written by "DJBiker" lately...classic example of how to talk things to death.....
