Are people finding that this is BB is worthy? Let me know about your experience with it.
Thanks

I have one. Been using it about a year or so. I weight 190 and it's held up well so far. It's lasted longer than the TruVativ and Race Face ISIS BBs I used previously.
Been through two of um..

The 2nd was a warrenty replacement of the 1st one. The bearings on the 1st one lasted around 8 months. i tried to doctor the 2nd one but the axle bent thus acelerating bearing wear and then kaboom. I ended up going with the 04' XT crankset.

Still using an truvativ gigpipe SL on the CX bike without any complaints though. I dont think ill go the AC route again. Unless theyll give me another warrenty replacement.
OK, one for and one against. Anyone else?
My Vote

I recently purchased the 04 isis model. Upon installation, the mech and I noticed a distinct gritty feel when twisting the spline by hand. This gritty action occurred only for about 20% of the rotation.

I took it to another bike shop for a second opinion. They sent to AC two weeks ago. They still haven't received the replacement.

I don't know if the replacement will work (it is noticeably lighter than my FSA Ti). So far, AC doesn't strike me as very competent.

Hope this helps.

Peace.

These a not reliable for heavier riders. I am 215lbs and destroyed my AC BB within 2 hours of use(not kidding). Got a 2nd one and this one lasted till my second ride. Maybe for light riders its ok, but for me it was a disappointment.
I toasted one of the very first ones...sent it to them, warrantied no problem so I then sold the new one
like with any other product you'll easily find 10 unhappy customers while the rest 100 stay low.

i use it. on a racing hardtail. it's fine. :) IMO
btw i'm only 150lbs. ;)
don't waste your time, my experience with them is that a 150lb rider destroyed it on his first ride. a 45 minute, flat, dirt crit. maybe it was just a lemon but i'm definitely not using them.
I bought one second hand after little use. Axle was already bent by a light rider, I never dared ride it to date. Crankarms don't align 180º, it's more like 179º. Probably a landing from a small drop or something. This was the first generation ISIS BB from AC.
