Has anyone been riding down from the Jumbo Lakes camprgound through old powderhorn on the Grand Mesa. I have heard there is a downhill run there called "ambush". Does anyone have any info?

Oh that been a long time ago

I forgot about that old trail beem a lot of years. even then it was over grown.

I have to think about it to rember. Where to pick it up. Did'nt ride it but once because of the climb back up to the car.

May have to go up and see if I can fine the start again.
Oh I will be there. If western slope folks have'nt check this new developing Trail out. You missing out on a nice ride. Nothing big and tuff but sure is nice up there.
Plus if we can keep adding to the trail we have a nice loop. Plus it can be used as a drop off trail for some very big loops.
I hope to see some rider up there for the trail days.
Please sign up it help us plan the days to be sure that we have enough Beer. And maybe a tool for you.
Registered already, will see you there.

P.S. I thought I should bring beer and expect the tools provided by organisators, but it sounds like it may be the opposite. ;)
Bring beer to. Copmoba will bring up all the Tools. Spent a few hour Sunday getting the Bike Tool trailer ready to run the tools in. To the work area.
So Thomas are you going to help with pulling in tools again?

I am not sure if I will be able to this year Kevin. What day are you pulling tools. As you already know We are going to be doing a big ride on Sunday in your planned maintenance area. I thinking it will be about a 45 mile loop by the time we are done.

There is a new DH trail that has been put in in the last ~two years. Takes off from the pullout (~1/2 mile before Jumbo) where the gravity slaves drop in in the winter time. Runs out where Mesa Creek crosses under Hwy 65. Steep.

Forest Circus has reportedly been aware of it, walked most of it, and are OK with it.
