the Trek Remedy is really nice. The Specialized pitch is also in the price range, but I am sure that you already suggested those two.

yeh the remedy series starts at £2000 here because of the really shitty exchange rate and the pitch is only available in the comp also because the rate and they are nearly at the price of the Enduro so spec have stooped selling them in the UK.

I have found this in Germany which is dfferent from our Brown colour scheme here and Green in the US. TBH i think its the nicest of the 3.

You're basically looking at a Prophet or Pitch (there's plenty of 2008 Pros in show rooms still, you'll also get a good deal on the 09 if you ask nicely).

Kona and Mongoose do £1500 five/six inch travels bikes or you could look at a 2008 Ransom/Enduro. If the credit crunch did one thing it's made good deals on 2008 models easier to find.

I'd have the Prophet but I'm biased towards single pivots.

Norco Fluid 2 is around $2700. I've not ridden one, only read pretty positive reviews in the rags. Seems to be a solid Horst design.

I've demoed a Pitch, and it's one helluva bike for the money.

If you're looking single pivot, the SC Superlight can be had with a Tora fork for $1700...or bump up to a Fox for $2100.

Like i said in my previous post you cannot get any Pitch Pro's at all here in the UK 08 or 09 they stopped importing them because of they couldnt sell them at £1400 anymore and make a profit so they were creeping up to £1700 (Which is creeping into Enduro prices) because of the exchange rate. All the Pro's they had left they sold FAST as we all know they are awesome bikes for the price. One of my buddies loves his!

Who told you this? Je James, Evans and Rutland Cycling have all got 09 Pros, I was looking at one in Rutland Cycling at the weekend.

Incidentally Leisure Lakes are doing 2009 Enduros for £1600, maybe that's worth a look?

The Superlight is a cross country bike. Since this post is in the all mountain forum I would assume the op is looking for an all mountain bike. Perhaps the SC Heckler would be a better choice. The Heckler with the R am kit has an MSRP of $2599. I'm sure you could find one for even less. Check it out at http://www.santacruzbicycles.com/heckler/index.php?pricing=1 .

You might also look at the Giant Reign 1, it's a really good value in that price range.
