I'm gradually upgrading my dirt jump bike for better performance and especially lighter weight. I am looking at putting a Pike on there but I'm not sure if I should go w/ a model that has a steel steerer or aluminum.
Is the aluminum significantly weaker in that situation, has anyone had problems with them fatiguing, bending, breaking, etc.
I ride this bike on street and dirt jumps mostly, with a little trail/light fr thrown in. As far as dirt jumps go, I'm not too hardcore, I probably never ride jump more than 15 or 20 or feet and 8 or 10 feet in the air.
