I have two bikes that have unpainted aluminum frames (I guess you could say they were factory polished). Over the years that polish has started to fade and the frame now has some light surface scratches. What is the best way to polish this up to make it look new agian?

Buff and clear coat? Is it fully unfinished aluminum or were they clear coated in the first place?

Well if they are truly polished, then some Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish works wonders.

If it's bare aluminum, just polish it with a good polish and it should shine up for a good while. Go to the auto parts section and get aluminum wheel polish.

I would get a few different types of fine steel wool (0, 00, 0000 etc, sometimes labeled as fine, extra fine etc). 0000 is good for polishing up aluminum that is already pretty polished but just needs some shine. If you need to remove scratches, start more coarse and work to fine. Then the mothers is a good final touch.

I used NevRDull on my motorcycle, it works great on aluminum.

Mother's is awesome. I use it on my revolver and makes it shine like a champ. Old white t-shirt and some elbow grease
