I've searched and nothing conclusive came up regarding these. For the cable housing, they use fiberglass rather than steel. My plan was to use this for both the shifter cable and the dropper cable. Does anyone here have any opinions/experience with it?

They don't work very well, they twist and compress. The lightest I've found that can take a beating is Jagwire Elite XEX housing. Steel, but with much fewer strands than normal, and thus a bit lighter than standard Shimano housing.

I've been using the Alligator in combination with full-length liners and Powercordz cables for quite a while now. They do work well but they will start creaking at some point, no matter how much you take care of dirt & debris.
For my new builds, I'll give Jagwire a go. Alligator won't work with internal cable routing and/or the padding needed will neglect the weight difference. Not worth the hassle.

The brake cables I had got brittle and started to crack (white ones). I’d doubt there’s a fresh set around somewhere but maybe you’re lucky.
I liked them too and never had problems riding them.
