Ok so i'm shopping for my first mountain bike, and i have noticed that every new mountain bikes that i have rode at the LBS's the front wheel has a wobble to it like the rim is bent already?
I've rode these bikes and noticed it on all of them
Trek 4300
Gary Fisher Marlin and a Hoo Hoo E Koo
A couple Specialized ones that were between $600 and $800

Why is this? Does this happen to all bikes no matter what the price range??

I'm planning on getting disc brakes so it shouldn't matter, but i would think that a bike at this price shouldn't have bent wheels.

Wobbly does not equal bent.

Sounds like the shop does not check the wheels when they build the bikes. Find another shop.

I guess i could see how tires could be wobbling and not the rim being bent.

haha the funny thing is i noticed it at 3 different bike shops. There aren't really to many more around me to check out.

If you are seeing it on every bike, maybe it is not the wheels that are wobbly.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't me, because i checked out the back wheels and they were wobble free.
