Nope, you don't need to be a DOD member. It's a fun day of frivolity in the mud. There will be ride groups of all abilities. There will be a wimmins ride group. There will be hammers, there will be slackers. At the end there will be a bonfire and a potluck, so bring something tasty to share (anything -- you don't have to cook).

There's a core group of the "DOD" that puts all of these kinds of gatherings and rides together but as for membership...there's no membership. There are however, stickers, t-shirts and branding irons (brandings are free).

There's a "hand shake" involved as well although, oddly, there are no hands involved.

Seriously though, as SpartiCussalump said, it's all sorts of folks gathering to ride our stash as it were. Just good times, rain or shine...slow or fast...tall or short...red or blue...a Utopian sort of thing. Wait...I just threw up a little.
