Hello All,

I'm in process of building up a rr wheel with this rim (using an XT hub) but can't find "ERD and offset" info on the rim to order spokes. Anyone by any chance have it or can direct me to info? Cracked Headtube? Ordered thru your site.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

IIRC the erd is 566
LBS was askng for offset too. I noticed eyelets staggered slightly but doesn't look like enuff to make a difference. Wondering if they ment for the dish of hub. Would think They could get off shimano xt specs for that to figure shorter side spokes.

That make sense??

Yeah, they are look for hub dims with the comment about offset. Left and right center to flange dims to be specific.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking after looking at all the different 650 rim specs. Only 1 mentioned anything about offset and it was "0".

Sidenote-Curious to your avatar. Is that by any chance a certain South American who associated with Fidel? Reason being I was at lbs counter bantering with the employee about this wheel build, and my stupidsmartphone, when your first reply on the ERD came thru. He read it and noticed your avatar and snickered because he had something up on his computer studying for a class and it had several pix of "said" individual, one was a similar rendering of your avatar. Crazy coincedence if so.....

Does anybody use offset anymore except for the park tools manual?

I haven't had a chance to try the Alex rims yet. How well do they fit the Neo-Moto?

Cheers,

Got it yesterday. Great tire Kirk. LBS has had a few Nev 2.35's but hadn't seen one of these and were really impressed!! Like a mini Rampage they said!

Putting on a WTB Laser for front. Setting tubelss today so will see. Going to run the Alex (when built:skep: ) in back w/ 2.1 Nev. It tubed up good on there too. Thinking to get another 2.1 Neo and run the pair on the FS, and another Nev or Quasi for the HT's, ss and 1x9. :D

Did you find that offset yet?? :skep:
I have offset my search for the perfect offset, for now. Likely picking up a used rockhopper beater tomorrow. My stable is always in flux. How's that for an oxymoron?

I've been running Neos on mine tubeless with Stans standard strip from the get go and have yet to have a problem keeping the tires on. No burps at all. BUT I don't see any of the rims in stock anywhere anymore and can't find them on Alex's website now.

Not an easy setup. Finally got it to seat w air and a corset! Should have xd rim built next week to try the Nev on that. Curious to see how it mounts. Not apples to apples but we'll see.

I had a hard time getting the tires to air up and seat until I tried the set up I described in another thread of running foam tape under the Stans strip. Aired up easy breezy with that setup. Next wheels are WTBs for my wife's b-side. We'll see how those work out.

Does that raise up the strip to engauge the bead better??

I had planned to run WTB Laser w/ Wolv setup but they are even more elusive. Not sure when they are re-stocking. I'll run the Neo/Nev setup on fs until they are available, then switch these over to the HT.
