It was good to see everyone and get out for a ride on a relatively clear day. Thanks to Scott for leading our single speed ride.

Food/meat at the end would have been nice, especially after the 2 hours and beers consumed waiting for the BBQ to start. Maybe next year they can bring enough to feed everyone.

Failure To Lunch

Of the six mere mortals driving with me on the carpool, only one of us failed to Lunch. On the way out, we stopped at McD's for a survival feeding. My young daughter got a Kung Fu Panda out of the deal, and the rest of us got ice cream Sundays. So it wasn't all bad.

Hee. & i wanted to thank yoU again for being a great & coordinated c-pool host. :drumroll: If i wasn't guarding our 6 bikes, i wanted to treat you to a McD's snack (but you already had 1 by the time i got in there).

Jumpers

I was totally impressed by these dudes. I can't get more than a foot up from gravity's hold. They were getting up to something like 40+ inches. Amazing.

Well, it turns out that I didn't take any pictures until after the family showed up. I must have been having too much fun hanging out with good friends and riding hard!

Dan'ger'ess snapped this shot at the ranger station when we turned around to go back to get something to eat.

My wife is smart. There was no line for the goulash so she went and got a couple of bowls while we waited. Good thing, too, since the food was gone by the time we got there. It's OK, they'll get it right next year...I hope.

Thanks for posting these guys. Mike, you looked like you were having the time of your life capturing the event. I think I saw you run by three different times with camera in hand. You might have had more fun snapping pics than I had on the ride. We all benefit from your interest and willingness to do this.
