Does anyone know whether the XX 26-39 156q crank fits without hitting? I don't have a frame in hand yet and can't measure...

I'd measure for you but haven't done the research on where/what to measure. Probably more like me. Point us to a link or better yet maybe someone has tried????

Would be nice if Niner would comment, have the same crankset inbound as well as the frame.

Went to the XX website Did the measurements This is what I came up with.

Crank to chainstay clearance Q 156 6.2mm
Q 164 10 mm
Q 166 11 mm

Currently I have 11mm with the Noir XC 3.3 Crank on my Medium Air 9

So I guess if I was to spend the big bucks I would go with the Q166 and 39 x 26

You are only looking at L4 and W4, the chainrings are what will cause you problems so you need to look at L3 and W3, or the width of the chainstays 81mm back from the center line of the BB.

There was a previous thread Niner responded saying the 26/39 combo works The other one does not I have not measured the other dimensions
