AFCBike new front hub- prototype

If this has been placed here before ....sorry guys..I am new here and did not check the archive.

Our technical staff had the idea of using classic J bend spokes in a light hub . The hub is installed with our Aluminium bolt on skewers within a light MTB . Bike has 6.9 kg.
The skewers are slightly (2gr) heavier than Tune skewers but are tightened with an allen key. So you do not need to carry a special tool. Assuming that bikers carry always some allen keys with them.
The hub could be made lighter but we do not go below certain bearing diameters for MTB.
Front hub. 14 spoke. 60 gram. Not available yet. Testing on our own bikes.

?disc versions???
I think disc version will have more spokes than 14 :D
I have been told that below RD has been posted on some WW forum before..but not sure if it has been posted here.

AFCBike tunes certain types of RD's.
Below is a tuned XTR RD . Application with our 10T Delrin jockey wheels and our composite cage. 127 gram.
Built on the MTB bike which FH is shown above.

This is Carbonsports/Lightweight carbon road RD level.

Enjoy.

I like the way there is no comment of a disc version there AFC. Personally I cant imagine any disc wheel not having flex issues with spoke counts below 24 absolute minimum (Im talking superlight riders too) alot of bigger guys complain of flex in 28/32 spoked wheels
liam2051: the problem is not flex, the problem lies to have the spokes stay there when you brake with a disc.

LOL yea.

And radial lacing cant be used either. so for a 2x(at min) lacing 24/28 spokes would be the least amount possible.

I run Rim brakes on my mtb, but i see CX as a better use for this hub.

Do any MTB companies Make hubs like this? It's a really light BMX hub that uses J-Bend Spokes also.....but for a 3x lacing....which is more usable, and could actually handle disc forces. There are 3-4 companies making hubs like this in BMX.

Shimano used to... even disc versions, but they were poor sellers so they were discontinued.
Just to let you know:
The 14 spoke hub is mounted on a very light MTB. It has also our
tuned KCNC VB-1 rim brakes. -32 grams on the set.
No disc versions with more spokes on the pipeline?
