For those of you that gravel and road...

I'm looking for a slightly more aero helmet for my road and faster gravel riding as my current is mega venty and probably quite draggy (Giro Hex). I have a sweaty head that is pretty large. Anyone have recommendations for slightly more aero helmets that are well ventilated and suit a bigger noggin?

Do you wear tighties? I think that might make the biggest difference clothing wise.
Im not riding a paceline so i dont really bother. The one thing that does sometimes bothers me with my Troy Lee A3 on the road when i get speed going is wind noise. Ill find myself keep checking for vehicle’s behind me when its only wind.

The Smith Signal is a good helmet for large noggins and a ehhhh hemm Sweat Buster thrown in there for supreme sweat management...

Bell Helmets also seems to be a good choice for larger craniums...

Yeah I'm fully lycra clad on my gravel bike... even on my XC bike too. I have the need for speed 😁 Plus, in the Netherlands its socially acceptable (some would say mandatory).

Thanks; will check out both helmets online.

In the end I found that the Abus Stormchaser fitted me pretty well (and was on sale!). Very thin padding and super minimalist strap but a good shape for my head. I can even fit in (just) a cap or balaclava underneath.
