I have a 06 Hardrock Pro Disc, and I don't feel the need to go out and just buy another bike that is already lighter. I like the bike I have and would just like to make it super nice by getting 5 pounds off of it. I don't want to replace anything major (except forks) so I know it will be hard.

SO far what I would like to replace with LIGHTER stuff:
-seatpost
-seat
-handlebars
-pedals (no clipless)
-forks if I can save A LOT

However, I have no clue what's the best and lightest out there so please help.

Start with the wheels and a light set of tires suited to your conditions. Rotational mass reduction will make you faster. If you still have left over money then we can talk about other areas to shave. What wheels do you have now, what kinda terrain and riding do you do and what's yer budget. Being a weight weenie can require deep pockets. Just depends on how over the top you wanna go.
