I have the warranty recall spacer plug installed in the head tube of my 2014 F-29. I want to send the fork to Mendon to service the fork. So I have to remove the plug first, right? How do I get the plug out ? Thanks.

You need a 5mm allen socket and a long extension. Loosen everything up until pieces come out of the head tube. Once you get the sort of spiked pieces out you should be able to disassemble the fork like you did before. Make sure all the pieces of that plug come out before you start to hammer on the stem to break it loose from the steerer tube. Once you get everything apart take that plug and throw the damn thing away! It really serves no purpose at all other then to possibly destroy your stem and steerer tube apon disassembly. Ask me how I know this...
