Advantages of a White Industries ENO crank over Truvativ Stylo

1463 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  jjcools
I've running a Truvativ 32t stylo on my singlespeed. Everybody is running these White ENO cranks. They look super sweet, but is it worth upgrading? Will I loose any weight? What are the advantages?
thanks

None really, just a little prettier :)

Do the Eno cranks not come with crank bolts? I've got my bottom bracket installed and now I'm attempting to install my crank arms but there's nothing to hold them on with... ????

they're so high end that they stay on with pure awesomeness. only meer mortals need bolts.
[Highlander]There can be only ENO![/Highlander]

Aside from using pure awesomeness to keep the rings in place [a.k.a. the strong nuclear force], the proprietary attachment method makes the likelihood of finding a replacement at some random LBS close to zero. This is an excellent way to get out of riding and go to work. Or the pub.
ENOs wink at you on sunny rides.....when you own a pair you'll understand.........;)

edit....not the black ones.....

CRAP, I have the black ones.

To the OP, I only went with the ENOs because they did not have any OCT stylos available and I wanted some nice cranks. I hear people have problems with the GXP BB but have no experience with that. I have them on another bike but wanted the true SS build so I ponied up a tad more for the ENOs. I hear people talking about Q factor yada yada but I don't think that is the real issue. Get the ones you like and see how they feel.
