Rode the east-side trails at Lake Sawyer on Wednesday....noticed a wooden structure being erected near the road. "What's this? Seems too tall for a ramp," I thought to myself. Went out there yesterday and the mystery was solved, the structure is complete. It is a large sign which announces to travelers-by the future home of a church and summer camp. I talked to the guys at Black Diamond Bike. The Pakalolo will be no more.

As Janis sings, better get it while you can.

Indeed, I noticed the sign on Saturday.

NateQ and I joined Skookum and friends for an ultra mellow and well put together 16mile loop out there. The weather was crisp and the trails we rode were pretty much in mint condition.

We started out on that side of the road and then crossed back for the larger portion of the ride, hitting just about all of the main stuff.

Gawd, I love that place... wish it were a bit closer for me...
