I'm got some scratchiness in my rear bontrager hub (formula) so want to replace the bearings. The numbers are 6001 and 6901. I've found the ABI bearings on several different bike retailers and they have good reviews.

They seem to come in enduro max (red) and std (blue). It seems the enduro max have more bearings and have higher load rating (also a bit more $). I wasn't sure what is best for a hub though. Seems the enduro max might be more appropriate for pivots but not sure. Any ideas? Oh, and here's the link

You are correct the max red (red) bearings are best for suspension pivots. They are great at handling higher loads in a limited radial movement application as in pivots. But are overkill in a hub application, especially since they cost more. They also have slightly higher drag due to bearing to bearing rolling friction and the tighter seals Enduro uses on the max. They also seem to wear quicker in a spinning application like a hub. Probably because the increase in ball bearings results in less room for grease.
