Long time lurker first time poster here, just wondering if anyone has tried the A2Z disc adapter with any older gt avalanche frames. i did some searches and nothing realy came up. there are none at my LBS so i cant try it first. i dont realy know that much about gt bikes and im realy even sure what year the frame is. any advice would be great.

I personally would suggest you try and find one of these instead:

It would spread the added stress over more areas than the a2z version. Your frame was not designed with diskbrake in mind, so it might not handle it in the long run, and brake. Therefor the Point Racing (unfortunatly i couldnt find a retailer for you) one i linked earlier is a better, although perhaps a less estetic choice.

Retrofitting is usually abit hazardous, but i wish you good luck regardless.

When you say older Avalanche you're talking aluminum right?

Send them a message and ask. There's some listed on eBay and I think Cambria bike and others handle them. As long as you've got a flat plate dropout they should have one that will work.
