... motoman and I hit the road for a tour of JT where he used to live to get in some riding and reminising.

Pics include a great waterfall, the Switchback trail, with the Wagon Road, Mauch Chunk Lake park, Mt Jefferson Plane Barney Pit reconstruction progress, Summit Hill Pa, and a stop at Thorn's cycle!

Enjoy the pics!

That truly was a great time! It really made me wish that I would have paid more attention to my surrounndings when I was growing up. At least I am now learning to appreciate it more and more!
Great pix. I've never been to JT. Keep meaning to check it out,
Nanker, you need to get to Jim Thorpe at least once! In addition to all the great mountain biking, JT has quite a bit to offer. One neat thing to check out is the old jail http://www.theoldjailmuseum.com/index.html I won't go into detail about it for fear of angering the Thread Police you can read about its history on that site. There are some cute bed and breakfasts in the area you should try to make it a weekend...great little town, I really miss living there!:smallviolin:
