Assuming we are not under tornado warnings, fighting hail, or still have several inches of moisture on the trails, a couple of us are hoping to do a Thursday ride this week. Feel free to join. Will likely meet around 5:30 at Maxwell parking lot.

Starting at Maxwell and riding Shoreline and then pavement to Lory. Will take West Valley to Nomad to Blue Sky to Indian Summer to Laughing Horse Loop. Will return via Rimrock/Coyote or Blue Sky/CR38E depending on legs, lungs, and time. Should be 25-30 miles and 2.5 - 3 hours.

I take it you have a Lory pass?

How many guys can you bring with each walk in/ ride in pass?
Oh man....25-30 miles. I'll see if I feel like tackeling this on thursday. I did my first longer rider last week up to coyote- ->bluesky ->Maxwell from the house, something like 26 miles and it took me a little over 3 hours. But you guys are way faster than me, and I don't want to hold up such an ambitious ride up.

This is the first time in several years that I have not had the pass. I think if someone has one, they can get up to four in on their walk-in / ride-in pass from the back of their windshield decal. Otherwise, it is $3. I'm bringing the $3.
Ambitious and optimistic! (about trail conditions that is).

But if things dry up, I'm in. Sounds like a great ride.
Shoreline was very very muddy in the usual spots last Thursday...and that was 3 days after rain. With 1+" last night it's going to be pretty bad for a while unless we get some cooker days. I think parking at Michaud up and over would be way more mud free for you guys. Behind the stadium and shoreline is a mess this year with all the rain.

Where do you think you're riding, Kansas ??? We have over 300 sunny day's a year here, and year round riding !! (Trying to keep up the good PR)

I chose Maxwell because it is closest to my house, but am not opposed to a change of venue. Today, Michaud was good from the bottom to the upper intersection, where it got wet on the south spur (toward Foothills trail). Might be OK going through the saddle and down to the Reservoir Ridge parking lot.

I avoided riding it tonight, but Shoreline looked OK (a few mud holes) and it can easily be avoided by riding the road. Maxwell was fine this evening from the top to the stadium parking lot. I turned off there and didn't ride the last 1/4 mile to the parking lot.

I was pleasantly surprised at conditions this evening.
Love to have you join us OBD and 2Mellow and Gilbo.
My shoulder is a little bummed out right now, and I have to work that day, but if things are feeling better I may try to boogey on up that way and find y'all on the trails, so far I think the Icy Hot has things under control:thumbsup:
sounds like fun, but I'm stuck entertaining out-of-towners

good luck

I guess we could add it onto our loop this evening, but we might need lights ;)

You sure? That's a lot of pavement for you.
Why you on this thread? You hardly ever show. Gonna start calling you E-Rider.

40% chance of heavy rain this afternoon. NWS says the rain is more likely to our south and east, but still, it might be wet. Stay tuned...
Just to give you sht, prima dona.

I'm in. I will truck along for as long as I can. See everyone at maxwell at 5:30. If any plans change tell cytoe to give me a call, he should have my number. (internet is down at the house, gotta love hot spots around town)

I am taking lights... Leaving in 15 minutes...
Radar shows the bad weather to the south. Looks like we are good to go. If it turns sour, we can bail at the Blue Sky underpass or Coyote. See y'all in a bit.
