Finally got this one together. Turned out to be a fun bike.

oh yeah.. bike lust at it's most demented form. that's what i would call it in 95. that would be the end it all bikes.. i would stare at it endlessly.lucifer said:Indeed. It reminds me of my dreams from the early 90s...
Hope you liberally anti-seized the seatpost....
I couldn't ever get them to shift either. However, DA rear deraileurs shift extremely well with XC Pros. Especially with an XTR mid length cage on it.Carsten said:...duh, it was about time that you get on a really good bike
like it alot! that's the Litespeed fork, isn't it?
how does the DA rear der like the XT thumbies? i never got it to work properly even with the cable clamped in front of the bolt.
Carsten
And he's running a double up front. What a bad ass.ssmike said:No one's commented on the grips - nice Grab-Ons!
So you're saying a DA derailleur with an M900 cage? What would the advantages/disadvantages of that be? Just less weight. The thought sound cool...but I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble?AKamp said:I couldn't ever get them to shift either. However, DA rear deraileurs shift extremely well with XC Pros. Interesting, and kinda cool.AKamp said:No, slightly more weight but also more chain wrap capability. Also it looks pretty damn cool. Unfortunately you are still limited to a 28tooth cog. If I had a dig camera with me I would snap a pic of one I have. I also have a coresponding XTR with a short cage on it on my Hakalugi. It is kinda neet when someone asks where you got it.
Running? I don't see no dirt on that thing. I'd say "he's installed a double up front. What a poseur."Rumpfy said:And he's running a double up front. What a bad ass.![]()
You can run a 32 with a road derailleur. You just have to be selective in you gear choice.AKamp said:No, slightly more weight but also more chain wrap capability. Also it looks pretty damn cool.
