Any VRC bike haulers? VW's Broncos blazers Fj's etc. ?

I Just pulled this old beast out of storage where it had been for way too long. Looking forward to putting bikes on her again (even with gas @ $4.00 a gallon).

Nice Bronco, I almost got my hands on a FJ a couple of weeks ago.

That's sharp. Here in the upper midwest the rust wouldn't have eaten that decades ago. I get so jealous when I watch those auto restoration shows on TV and see them pull a 40 year old car or truck out of junk yard or old barn and it only has some minor surface rust.

I had a 72 that was just like that but mine was red.
I have owned 4 FJ40's, a 72 K5, 69 CJ5 and a 68 Jeepster Commando.
This is my last FJ and my 79 Scout that I have now.

When I lived in Sun Valley, ID there was a little old lady that had a 75 Ford Bronco Denver Bronco. When I 1st saw it in 1990 it only had 17,000 miles on it. The thing was mint.
She only drove it in the summer and had it stored the rest of the year.
Last summer I spent 2 weeks there with my family and one day I saw her driving down the road in it. I wonder how many miles now.
Seeing yours makes me think of that one.
Always loved the Baja's.:thumbsup:

Actually it is a 3-series... 1989 320i (E30) euro model with a 2.8L out of a '96 328i (manual trans of course).

Geez! Very nice, but how do you part with either a Stroppe (75?) or a Mustang Fastback (69?)???? The Stroppe is one those holy grail finds, particularly in that condition.

Thanks and I love the Scout! Those are becoming exceedingly rare since parts are tough to find and then getting one that doesn't have a body resembling swiss cheese is even more rare. Beautiful truck!

Correct on the Stroppe, 66 on the Stang.


They're not easy to part with, believe me. Usual story...had a kid.
It was either keep the Bronco or keep the bikes. I like the bikes more.
