So I went to interview for a graduate position at a great school in a very bland town. This town is the epitome of Pleasantville and Leave it to Beaver. So it has it's downsides, it's dull. But I saw something when touring campus that was shocking and impossible to believe (especially for a college campus).

I was just outside one of the busiest areas of campus and leaning up against a light pole was a bike. It was a non-discript older mountain bike, not sure the brand but it did have vintage XT component kit  The wheels and seat were quick release. It had been sitting there for at least a week or two because there was snow burying part of the tires. Why was this so amazing?

It did not have any lock on it what so ever. It had been sitting non-stolen for at least a week in a situation where even a locked bike would usually be at risk.

I won't have to worry about my bike if I go there.

BTW, The town was Logan, Utah and the college Utah State.

No, not at all. If anything happened to yours, you could always just grab that vintage XT ride leaning against the flag pole

Ogden is dull? Isn`t it smack on the edge of the Wasatch Range? That sounds pretty exciting to me, but maybe I have low excitement standards.
