I am building up a Transition Vagrant with a Fox 36, and it is already starting to get pretty tall on the front end. I like the 6" of squish, but was wondering where I could keep things low. I already have a 0* stem. I don't want a flat bar persay, I don't like the way they feel. Can anybody reccomend me a handle bar that has the comfort and control of a riser bar, but keeps things low? 28-29" is the prefered width. Thanks

Sunline V1. 29.5 wide and a low rise. The bar feels great and is light to boot.

Salsa has some wide flat bars. The bars have similar sweep and options to some riser bars. Salsa is basically QBP so you can get those bars through almost any bike shop around.

Niner bikes sells some wide flat bars as well.

Deity Dirty 30.

You can cut it down to 28 or 29", it's relatively light, and is low rise.

As mentioned, Salsa's Pro Moto Flat Bar is a good choice. Comes in a 710mm (~28") width, and the 11 degree version will mimic the rise and backsweep of your standard riser. Relatively light, too

Another +1 on the sunline, its made for exactly what you just described. Mines 29 1/2 wide with 19mm of rise. Added benefit of it being light.

Another option is using stem with some rise, but flipped so it's negative angle.
Then your handlebar option is wide open.

I've been running Race Face Evolve AM Low riser bars for a year or so, super comfortable, I love the sweep and approx 19 degrees of rise.

Syncros Bulk Bar Low rise

I've got a Syncros Bulk on my Vagrant with a Domain 31 U-turn and it feels awesome. I'm running the FSA Orbit 1.5 reducer headset (only a 13-14 mm stack height), so I can get my front end super low. I have an older Vagrant with a 1.5 head tube though, I know the newer ones only come in 1 and 1/8th.

im using azonic strip bars on my vagrant still pretty low but have used bontrager earl bars that are lower rise pretty cheap and have a good feel and are real strong
