My buddy has a 99/00 Marin east peak

He wants to put an extra set of disc brakes on his bike. The bike was set up with cable stops and mounts for disc but the rear needs a bracket that fits the rear frame to mount the caliper to. It is definately made to run discs but we can't seem to locate the factory braket that needs to be installed.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Assuming that year has the monocoque swingarm, then you can get a mount from www.betd.co.uk

The original Marin part is nigh-on useless... it's VERY soft, so that even if you had it faced, the moment you tighten the caliper bolts up it deforms. I have a faced BETD mount on my East Peak (not sure of year... monocoque frame and swingarm, single pivot) and it's fine.
