Looking to put my 951 on a bit of a diet, I'm wanting to make it a little more playful and bike park friendly. Currently it's sitting at about 41 pounds, I'd like to get it down to the mid 30's. It currently has Azonic Outlaws setup with tubes, I'm planning on getting some lighter tubeless wheels, so that should cut a few pounds right there. Going from the stock DHX RC4 to something air sprung should yield me about a pound savings as well.

Here's the full build spec as it sits now, if you see anything that could be easily swapped to trim some fat it would be much appreciated

• Frame - 951 (L)
• Shock - DHX RC4
• Fork - Fox 40 (coil)
• Wheels - Azonic Outlaws setup tubed
• Stem - Funn direct mount
• Bars - ODI flight control with wingtip extensions
• Brakes - Saints all around wth 203 rotors
• Crankset - Truvativ Descendant w/ 38t ring
• Drivetrain - Zee 10 speed with 11-28 road cassette
• Seatpost - Thompson Elite
• Seat - Funn (not sure what model)

Wheels are the best place to lose weight... rotational mass will have the biggest impact on the ride... you could also go to an air fork/shock but the cost/benefit decreases. Getting it down to the mid-30s will cost significant $... I had my 951 down to 34.5 lbs but it cost a bit.

Seat - Selle Italia SLR

How did it ride with the DB air? I have one on my Mojo HD and I love it, I'm thinking the dw link vs vpp would behave pretty similar

Actually, the DB Air was not recommended for the 951 due to the leverage ratio of the suspension. It made it impossible to get full travel due the progression. This may not be an issue now with the XV air can being available. I would check with Intense or a suspension tuner to get their opinion.
