ok, so i finally finished some of the projects around the shop, because after all it is winter, and sometimes as a bike shop and mechanic you've got some spare time.

so, a 95 mojo in steel, a 96 Ti Mojo and a 97 Mojo back from the dead thanks to Bob Brown.

all for now, need to actually go home from the shop.

thought i'd share the pics.

nate

oh, and they really aren't "Retro" but maybe a tad classic? the 97 actually has the most "unusual" bits or older in year. anyhow, hope nobody minds. happy times to all this season.

Very cool. How often do you have that many Ibises together? I like the brown one. :)
Very, very classy.

That's how a mountain bike should look.

I like the green one, so Laffeaux and I won't have any issues fighting over the bikes when you send them to us. ;)
boing.

I'll thake the Ti bike. That thing gives me a woody.

Very nice Ibises. The dull green one is magnificent.
Green one = Teh w1nnar
Green is nice. Is that the color Ibis called "Lung Butter"

I would give a kidney for the Ti Mojo. Always wanted one, but could never afford one.

pond scum.
thanks fellars..

the brown 95 needs the manitou 1 or Judy it originally had on it. It hangs on our wall and belongs to my only employee and other mechanic Eric. The Ti mojo does have a Fat City big one inch fork on it, but some newer 97 XTR and kings, so not really correct.

The Green 97 has the oldest parts, but is the newest. it originally was Pond Scum but the paint got wrecked so then they painted it 97 Team colors, the orange and blue with the charlie brown points. pretty cool, but then the tubing rusted and the down tube and chainstays had rust holes in them and bob brown brazed in new bits. so it finally is complete again with NOS 94 XTR and White industries cranks and hubs. I'm stoked to have it built back up. While it was out of commission I built up the Ti Mojo. now they all three just hang around on the walls. sometimes i ride the Ti bike but i wish it had 29" wheels.

thanks for all the comments, anyone else have a Super old like early 80's Ibis?

all for now
nate

yup, sure do, and actually it's getting redone as well with new decals, and the same paint job, but new and done by Spectrum Powderworks that also did the green 97 mojo.

you'll see it soon, but with a koski fork and all new decals (period correct) and new powdercoat in the same scheme.

thanks again for that it went to Eric who also owns the brown mojo, both at the shop.

happy holidays.
nate, gotta get out of the shop and close for the day.

Cool!

I knew it was in good hands. Looking forward to seeing the end result. :)
Great stuff as always Nate! I'll take the green Ibis and that blue Phoenix that you posted a while back to go. :)
they're yours!

all it will cost you dl is the Ham. and i'll even kick in some spending money. thanks for the great offer!
haven't posted our moj in a while, replaced a few of the original parts to make it more, um, comfortable. Still don't ride it, but had to see how it built up with some modern touches.

I don't see these decals on the list  .

Repatining an Ibis

1. Does anyone know the manufacturer and product numbers for the last ibis colors:

ie. red, yaeger blue, pond scum, that great orange, and lung butter?

2. Is spectrum a better place to get a bike painted, or would they know the colors? I was planning on sending it to Sycip, but they dont seem to know them.

3. I've looked at the ibis decal instructions and am pretty handy - just curious if these things are really hard to put on myself if the paint shop doesnt sound enthusiastic, or should I get a professional to do it. Oh and BTW - you dont havea "Ripley" name sticker do you?

Thanks

Ben

Very nice Ibis'

I still race my 99 Mojo and I just converted it to singlespeed. (the muddy pic was after a 4th place finish last year)

I have a 95 Mojo or so with a handjob (the blue one now built up as an ugly bike)

And I just sold my 89 Ibis SS (came with a pink stem and a tan panaracer magic)

So, I too had 3 Ibis' hanging out in the garage.

Nice little collection you got in the shop there Nate. I like the brown one - is it more root beer? Might was well add to the photos with my little ride.
