My tire started to rattle and I discovered that the spoke nipples are corroding. I have a little over 4,500 miles on the bike, so I can't complain. My dealer has reached out to Ibis for direction. The nipples are seated on tiny stainless washers. If I replace the nipples, do I need the washers? And am I better off with bronze?

Thanks

I had a guy rebuild my SC Reserve wheels mostly bc I wanted to move them to a superboost bike. They had a lot of miles. The nipples were trashed. I was honestly surprised but he pretty much felt it was not outside of normal given the use they had. I was already replacing the hubs and spokes, so the nipples weren't a huge deal either way.
