Seriously, no one can go measure the height of a new 888 upper crown?
888RC2X Question
How tall is the upper crown (as in, how much does it add to stack height)?
Also, how tall is the integrated stem's stack height?
Lastly, how much would it cost to buy a 888 lower crown and steerer?
I may be trading a guy my 66 for an 888 but the steerer is dangerously close to being too short. Maybe I could trade someone with a longer steerer/crown for mine even.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT EXACT!
I don't have a measuring tool or even a ruler, these numbers are comming from a bolt sizing thing I found in my tool box.
Just eye balling it with the tool,
Top crown - 15mm
Intagrated stem - 20mm

Maximum distance between crowns on the 888RC2x is 158mm. If you buy a 2004/2005 upper crown for Appox GBP45 this increases 188mm. Hope this helps. I had this problem with my 20" Giant Faith. Yeah - just ran into this - XL VPFree + 888 RC2x = go find an 04 top crown!
There is enough steerer on this thing to run the full stock 158mm and a stemp about 5" above it! This makes little sense.......

Solution: 04 top crown! lol - I have a friend who is putting on some Go-Ride crowns on an 04, and I am going to snatch up his top crown! Extra 30mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
