The 888 is hscv and so is the super t so how much of a difference is there in performance? If you were to put hscv cartridges in a jrt would it perform as well?

Yes ,if you put hscv cart(s) in the Jr. you will basically get a super (the structual parts are the same anyway). This is a pretty common mod and should cost around 100$ for a single hsvc cart which would make your fork equivalent to a 04 super T (the 03 model had two hsvc carts and was a little better). Since the super was discontinued for '05 getting a Jr. and upgrading it is the only way to get a new super T these days.

As for the performance difference between the 888 and the super T , the 888 does saves some weight and is laterally stiffer but as for damping performance I'm not sure the difference is noticable although the cartridges were supposed to have been improved.
