Anyone have direct experience with 823's vs Flows? Mainly wondering about Flow's holding up to tough DH riding.

I've been running 823's forever and generally like them but thinking of lighter rims. With the heavy weight though comes dependability. I've had my 823's for 3 years and the front is actually about 7 years old. So it's nice to have strong rims that last season after season.

On my AM bike I recently went from 819's to Arch's and so far those have been great.

I think people may not be responding because I imagine there are numerous other threads comparing these rims.

I ran 823's on my Blur LT and Nomad before going to a set of Flows. I still have the 823 rear wheel and I use it as a back up and for extremely rocky terrain. To me it seems the Flow is plenty strong as long as you keep your tire pressure high enough to avoid rock contact. The Flow seems to dent easily and if you like to run very low pressures or thin tires over rocky terrain then maybe go with the 823.
