Earlier this month they offered an additional 20% discount making the net price $750. I ordered the bike but haven't picked it up yet.
This seems like a very good deal for the money. Product spec is mostly SRAM X.7 and other similar quality SRAM components. It comes with an unconditional return policy.
I've been riding a hard-tail for 15+ years and I want to try out a full suspension but my budget is limited to < $1000.
This seems like a good entry level bike for easy to moderate trails in the new england woods. What are the potential downsides to this bike. Any advice and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Not a bad deal at all- Bikes this this one (and the Giant Yukon FX, K2 Base 2.0 and a few others) really are legitimate means of entering the full suspension arena without breaking the bank.
The SRAM X7 group, Rockshox Tora, and a four-bar linkage are sure to deliver solid performance.
About the weakest points of the entire spec sheet (the manual disc brakes and the slightly chunky WTB rims) are simple upgrades down the road. In all, sounds like you nabbed a good deal. I would have actually considered picking one up myself if they had sizes others than Large left.
