If your gentlemen are talking about the FTM frame geometry, the numbers off the Competive Cyclist website make more sense.

You can can also find that the wheelbase of the "S" size Fireline Exo is longer then the "M" size.

Maybe it's an attempt to increase the FTM's climbing ability over the ML. A 70.5 degree HA does seem high. Most trail bikes with this amount of travel are around 69deg. Although there are a couple 5+ inch bikes above 70 degrees. The increased travel in this years TALAS could compensate for the head angle, in terms of sucking up bumps.

The change in seat angle should help as well. I wonder how a FTM with a 160mm fork would ride....:thumbsup:
