Hello,

I am upgrading my Jr-T on an '02 UZZI SLX and was wondering which fork to buy. Any advice would be helpful. I ride steeeep technical downhill with some drops. I don't really mind the weight. My only concern is whether the 7" 888 having a 22" axle to crown height would be too much for an SLX.

Thanks for your input.

Z150 isn't far behind.

I have a Z150FR SL (same dimensions as coil 150) and the crown to axle is approximately 21.5", so you're not looking at much extra height. I guess a weight comparison might be worth looking at, but I understand that the coil 150 is pretty heavy--at least a pound heavier than my SL (5lbs., 2oz.). I use the SL on a Bullit and seems to offer just the right geometry setup. It was a pretty nice setup for the gnarlier sections in Moab this spring. As you said, if you don't care about the weight, why not go for the 888. What do you think your overall weight will total up to? Do you have to climb much on this setup?

I'm afraid to weigh my bike. I'd like to think it is at 35lbs but with DH tires and Deemax Wheels, I think it's closer to 40lbs. I will climb some but not long climbs. I use an ID for long, epic rides.

To answer Sh0rty's question, yes I am also looking at the 66. But the prices for the 888 have droped to near cost (around $900). So I can get an 888now or wait till October or November for the 66.
