Hi-

Anybody tried, or at least have thoughts on putting a Fox Float R rear shock on a 6point? I'm interested in putting a shorter (8.5 i2i) shock on the slack it out a little, and saw a pretty good price on one of these. I have a 7point to handle the big stuff, so the 6point really sees only trail duty. What would be the limitations of running this kind of shock?

Thanks-

I think it would be a good shock to try. The RP series shocks have better mid-stroke damping, so it might actually be an improvement over a DHX-Air. Just keep in mind that the shorter shock length will lower your bottom bracket height and also slack out the head angle (steering) from your stock settings. I'd probably look at that option too if I had that bike (which I seriously considered).

I'd give it a try. For $75 it's worth a try.
