So it has been pretty wet here in California downright sloppy and I was having problems getting fenders to fit on the front of my bike with a 650B up front. My Blur LT has a short head tube with the down tube very close to the bottom head tube opening leaving little room to mount a fender. I tried a THE fender that mounts inside the bottom of the fork steerer with the rubber doughnut but it kept rubbing at speed when the fork would compress.
Next I tried a frame mount fender from Crud but because the clearance was so tight my fork steerer kept hitting it in the turns. I solved the problem by getting out my heat gun and heating the fender until it was soft and then standing on it to flatten it. Worked like a charm check out the pix.
